چکیده
Biochar is a material produced by the pyrolysis of agro-industrial waste, which has become one most promising management tools to improve soil quality. The aim was determine effects incorporating biochar from different coffee wastes in sandy soil, cropped with maize, on chemical and microbial attributes. experiment followed factorial design 2 × 3 + 1 two types biochar, including ground (CG) or husk (CH) doses (4, 8, 16 t·ha-1) control fertilized solely bovine manure (3 t·ha-1). variables analyzed were organic carbon, attributes, biomass (C, N P), basal respiration gene abundance (16S rRNA, 18S rRNA nifH gene). Most attributes strongly increased CH application, while CG at 8 t·ha-1 C:N ratio (3.5 times), P (2.1 times) K+ (7.9 4 C content, (3, 2.1 1.6 times, respectively). application showed trend increase bacteria, fungi diazotrophic genes (11, 10 2%, Contribution both types, but mainly CH, more effective than that received alone. tool

A practicable, cost-effective and eco-friendly protocol of bagasse preservation for six months has been evolved. It envisages exposure of 4 ppm ozone once per month on 200 kg bagasse covered with polythene sheet. It afforded substantial (87%) reduction of bacterial, fungal and yeast count, concomitantly retaining initial properties of fiber, largely arresting degradation of cellulose and hemi-c...
متن کاملLaccases for Denim Bleaching: An Eco-Friendly Alternative
Laccases have received much attention of researchers in last decades due to their ability to oxidise both phenolic and non-phenolic lignin-related compounds as well as highly recalcitrant environmental pollutants which makes them very useful for their application to several biotechnological processes such as those from the textile industry. In this regard, laccases are used for denim bleaching ...
متن کاملBiochar impact on physiological and biochemical attributes of Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) in nickel contaminated soil
Disastrous effect of nickel on spinach was discussed by number of authors but the effect of amendments like biochar with nickel on Spinacea oleraceaL. is not still discussed by any author of the world because biochar was used as soil amendments which play a vital role in reducing mobilization and uptake of nickel by spinach plants. As nickel contaminated plants are very harmful for th...
متن کاملBiochar Impacts on Soil Physical Properties and Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Biochar, a co-product of a controlled pyrolysis process, can be used as a tool for sequestering C in soil to offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and as a soil amendment. Whereas the impacts of biochar application on soil chemical properties are widely known, the research information on soil physical properties is scarce. The objectives of this review are to (i) synthesize available data on s...
